Briefly introduce yourself?

I am a Mexican girl who adores drawing.

How did you get to where you are today and would you do anything differently?

I got where I am today from my love and effort towards fashion.....and I guess I wouldn't do anything different. I believe that mistakes make life more interesting and you learn from them.

Who helped you along the way?

I have been very blessed to have so many great people around me that have supported me through my passion.

What are the things you enjoy most about chosen career?

Having the opportunity of meeting the people I admire and interacting with my lovely readers.

Who or what inspires you creatively?

I get inspiration from everyday life; my girlfriends, sister, movies, books, street style. Also when I was growing up I was a HUGE fan of comic books. So I’m sure that has influenced my art/style.

What thought process is involved when planning/creating one of your illustrations?

I carry a notepad and pen with me at all times! I get ideas in the most random of places. I usually write an idea down or do a quick sketch so I don't forget them.

Your favourite new or established designer, photographer, artist (pick one and explain why?

I love Isabel Marant!

I am obsessed with her work; she is very talented and designs for the modern women. I could see myself and my paper dolls wearing every single piece from her collections.

What era in fashion do you feel you can relate to most?

1960's

Favorite city in the world?

Paris, Paris ...oh yes! And Paris.

Most cherished item in your closet at the moment?

A beautiful scarf my Aunt made for me. I love it!

I want to wear it every day.

Favourite fashion trend for this season?

Pastel colours.

One item, clothing garment or accessory every girl should own?

I good pair of black tights!

How would you describe your own personal style?

I could commit to just one style or trend; there are so many good ones....so I dress depending on my mood. But, I do wear a lot of dresses.

Where do you tend to shop most?

Online shops!

Three things we would be surprised to find out about you?

Sometimes I read a chapter of the bible before I go to sleep,

I have an obsession with flossing my teeth and

I am always late to everything (I am working on that horrible habit of mine, though!)

Keep practising, find your own style and have fun!

This is the perfect example of why I love the fashion industry; for it's remarkable effort to always evolve with new ideas. The model show package from IMG for NYFW A/W 12 is astoundingly refreshing with fashioning.com describing it as not only promoting who's on the books at IMG but as a "visual delight in it's own right" which I couldn't agree with more. Wednesday Want | Lilylovelock USA Cross playsuit

So this week's Wednesday want is a good healthy dose of self promotion. Last summer when I launched the Lilylovelock clothing and accessories brand I featured this USA Cross your heart playsuit in my S/S 11 collection. I had no idea that it would be as popular as it was, so much so that it fast became a best seller. When it went out of stock last year so many customers were disappointed they hadn't had the chance to purchase one. For this reason I have decided to release a limited number in the next month or so just in time for spring. The playsuit will be available both on ASOS Marketplace and Etsy with details of it's release date coming soon.

I have to be honest it was like pulling teeth trying to find fashion that didn't make me wince on the red carpet at this years SAG awards. From Michelle Williams disappointing ankle bearing Valentino to Glee girls Heather Morris and Lea Michelle showing in my opinion far too much flesh and poor Emma Stone lost in her 50s inspired nightmare. Well that was the bad let's focus on the good, ladies in my eyes that broke boundaries or who kept their looks simple and chic. Ashlee Simpson sporting an elegant Jenny Packham dress that featured subtle black lace across the bust was one of my favourite's. Rose Byrne breaking all fashion rules on the red carpet by opting for an Elie Saab jumpsuit, Amber heard looking utterly gorgeous in this sultry Zac Posen (in love with the cut out detailing) finally I'm not a huge fan of Kelly Osborne in fact I find her to be quite irritating but for me this Badgley Mischka dress was simply gorgeous. The shoulder and belt detailing caught my eye instantly.

Who did you think garnered the best dressed title?

Mimi Wade grew up by the sea in Northern Italy. She spends her time smoking, drawing, dancing, watching cat videos on YouTube, hoarding junk, and, maybe most significantly, making clothes. She truly is mixed race, being of Indian and European ancestry. She REALLY wants a pet alligator, which may seem like naive posturing, but her grandmother was in Hollywood movies and had a pet leopard, so stranger things could happen. - VICE Style

I would kill to style this lady, it would seem she'd be up for anything style wise....what a dream shoot!

Briefly introduce yourself

My name is Lou Clavé I am 26 years old, I am a freelance hair stylist and I live in the West End of Glasgow.

How did you get to where you are today and would you do anything differently?

Well I went to university before I became a hairdresser, so I started hairdressing quite late I was 22 when I started and was the oldest in my class – most were 16. So I suppose the thing I would change is starting hairdressing earlier. Skipping the 3 years at University and going straight to hairdressing training would have been much more beneficial.

Who helped you along the way?

Not many people actually. I had to work hard and fight all the way. The only hairdresser that gave me direction was Austin Shirley he is still one of the best hairdressers I have ever met. He really has been an inspiration for me. My husband has supported and believed in me since day one which has been amazing. The girls at Obscure Couture really gave me a big chance. They had seen my work and loved it and now we work together all the time. Jenivieve Berlin also was one of the first designers to really get me and use me. I love them so much for giving me a chance – that and I love their work. They just get me and I get them.

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

I love to talk! I'm a talker so it's great meeting new people. And I also love to work with creative people. I love working with designers, photographers, models, make-up artists any creative people that have a vision. I love that part of my job. Bringing everyone’s ideas together and making it a reality.

Who or what inspires you creatively?

So many things inspire me. My Little Pony, Disney colours, Harajuku girls but also my friends really inspire me. Julia Bell was my first friend and client to take the plunge and be brave with colour! She inspires me by letting my pallete go wild! My last shoot had one of the styles inspired by my friend Laura McMonagle's hair. All of my friends have fabulous style so I am surrounded by inspiration. I also adore film and get so much inspiration from there.

Your favourite new or established designer, artist, or photographer (pick one and explain why?)

I honestly couldn’t pick one. My favourite new designers are Obscure Couture. Everything they do I just adore. Their new AW/12 RTW collection is insanely good. It's absolutely my style and I work with the girls all the time because my hair and their clothes go together perfectly. My other favourite new designer is Isolated Heroes. I haven't had the privilege to work with Samantha McEwan yet but I would absolutely love to. I love her style and she inspires me so much with a 1000 hair ideas! Colour colour colour! I hope that we can work together soon because she is fantastic. I also love make-up artist Lynsey C Reilly . We work together a lot and she produces some of the most flawless and beautiful make-up i've ever seen.

What era do you feel you relate to most and why?

My personal style most relates to the 90's. The ripped clothes, big cardigans. The boys had long hair with dark roots and lights ends, the girls had long hair with an undercut. However professionally I am inspired by the 70's and 80's. I love the New Romantic era created by designer John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood, Adam and the Ants, Boy George. I love the pleats and the coloured fabric tied in the hair. I also love the punk era; the sex Pistols Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McClaren created a whole generation of obnoxious haircuts and colours with clothes to match; incredible. I also love Madonna's style in the 80's, not so much now but I really believe in the 80's she broke barriers.

Favourite city in the world?

I am really not massively well travelled but honestly my favourite city in the world is London. I just love it! It's so eclectic. I love London because my tattooist friends still all live down there! It's amazing! The dining out, the art galleries, Bleach London (one of the coolest salons in the world) every minute of every day something new is going on. An event, a party, an art gallery opening and beautiful tattoo studios covered in beautiful art.

Most cherished item in your closet at the moment?

Ermmmm....at this moment....I love my new creepers and my leather cut off. But really I am SO excited for my black spiked Jeffrey Campbell shoes! They take 5-7 days to arrive and I am waiting with baited breath! I adore Jeffrey Campbell shoes!

Favourite trend for this season?

I absolutely loved the Dolce and Gabbana black glitter playsuits. Put one of them on with a leather jacket, spiked Jeffery Campbell's and a lilac with pink dip dyed wig. Look fabulous and fierce all at the same time.

One garment/ accessory every girl should own?

A fabulous, colourful, dip dyed wig of course!

When creating a style do you tend to favour old techniques or thrive under new ones?

I absolutely thrive under new techniques; I also make up my own techniques and keep them secret. But that's what it's all about! Got to keep pushing forward! I know a lot of hairdressers who are too stuck in the past they are unable to do the style of hair that I do because they can't get out of what they have been taught. I love to keep it fresh, make things better by trying new techniques. It's the only way we are going to progress. All of us.

If Lou Clave could choose anyone’s hair to colour and style who would this be and why?

Alice Dellal but her hair is actually perfect Bleach London do her hair and it is banging! But I would LOVE to get my hands on Charlotte Free’s hair! I adore her, she is one of my favourite models of all time but I would LOVE to get my hands on those roots! I hate roots! And fix up that pink a little I could make it a much nicer shade...so Charlotte call me! haha

Very rarely do we see the person behind the scenes creating the beautiful hairstyles. How would you describe your personal style?

I would definitely describe my style as 90's grunge and a wee bit gothic – but fabulous! I am definitely not a girly girl. I LOVE the 90's. I'm just stuck there. I wear grunge dresses, ripped tights/leggings, Creepers and band t-shirts as dresses.

Where do you tend to shop most?

Doll Boutique is amazing! They have the most amazing clothes and shoes. We Love to Boogie is also one of my favourite shops ever! They do the best vintage clothes and amazing leather jackets! Once Upon A Time for the BEST tie dye T-Shirts and I also love eBay for band t-shirts.

Three things we would be surprised to find out about Lou Clave?

I got married to my wonderful husband when I was 22, I am covered head to toe in tattoos and I LOVE dance music! I don't look at all how you would expect me to be! Check out Thunder Disco Club and Supermax for an AMAZING night out!

Finally what advice would you give to any lilylovelock readers interested in the world of Hair styling?

It's a hard craft to get into. It's taken me five years to get here. If you want to get into this world you have to be prepared to work harder and push further than you think your limit is. It's hard work but it's so rewarding. I just LOVE what I do.

Dew Magazine | Vivienne Mok

Multi-talented creative Vivienne Mok describes her work as 'sensual' not necessarily 'erotic'; very true. Her photography style focusses on the soft, feminine and flirtatious aspects of a female without being overtly sexual. This featured editorial was shot for Dew magazine's third issue with Mok not only being the photographer but also the stylist and make-up artist. We see model Nea transformed into what can only be described as a native princess, perfectly accesorized with Pagan Poetry and Yukie Deuxpoints pieces with the beautiful addition of soft fairytale lighting offering a dream like backdrop.

Aline Weber | Vogue Paris Feb '12

Personally I never think you can go wrong with a braided hairstyle. So of course I was intrigued to see what styles Vogue Paris had created with the ever gorgeous Brazilian model Aline Weber for their February issue. Focusing on four different looks they opted for the braided fringe, rapunzel style side braid, faux-hawk braid and the ever popular milkmaid braid; all inspiring and all perfect for upcoming S/S12. I must admit aside from the hair I was firstly captivated by the black and white photography used, fairly unusual for a beauty feature, but I love it and in some way's I find it defines the hair styling so much more than a colour version ever could. What style are you guys drawn to most?

I'm ridiculously intrigued by Prabal Gurung's prefall collection that it actually hurts a little. Gurung was born in Singapore and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. It has been stated that it was whilst in New Delhi his design career truly began. I believe you get a sense of this throughout his collections. I always find them to be perfectly cut, basic pieces but always with an exotic twist. Plus how killer are those shades and the shirt dress..... I think I may be in love.

So Nasty Gal have released their January lookbook and whilst it may have not been shot in some exotic location or quirky apartment I'm actually really into it. What can I say I'm a sucker for pastel walls.....no seriously I love it when studio's shoot with colour back walls as opposed to the traditional stark white. Plus I must say it's always fun to see what girl they've chosen to model each new collection, think they've done pretty well this time around huh?

Hope you all survived 'Blue' Monday' earlier this week (supposedly the most depressive day of the year) well when you put it like that maybe it was for me...a whole afternoon and evening with no internet connection. Is there anything worse when you have lot's to do!?

My name is Jade Stavri, I'm a fashion editor/freelance stylist/vintage clothing company owner and all round del boy.

How did you get to where you are today and would you do anything differently?

I got to where I am today by sheer perseverance and graft. Not taking no for an answer and going above and beyond the call of duty. I wouldn't change anything actually as I'm a firm believer of looking to the future and never looking back on the past.

Who helped you along the way?

I would have to say my parents, they inspire and pushed me to get where I am now and are still constantly giving me encouragement to achieve more goals.

What are the things you enjoy most about your job?

Things I enjoy about my job are going out to GFW or LFW and searching for those talented people may it be a designer a stylist or a photographer. I love being able to give them a platform where they can showcase their work with maybe a little guidance. I love going out and starting and building relationships with PR's and Brands. Some of the people I've met through work have turned out to be some of my closest friends.

Who or what inspires you creatively?

I think the team I work with inspire me, always something random popping out of someone’s mouth. I will admit that is normally me with the randomness.

Your favourite new or established designer (pick one and explain why?)

Jasper Garvida!! Oh boy!! He is amazing!! I was lucky enough to style his S/S12 collection at LFW and I have to say Jasper is one of THE hardest working designers I know and he has the most amazing team behind him as well. His last collection was literally an amazing feast on your eyes. I love the label as it's not just doing the same things season after season he's changing and ever evolving. I totally love that as I kind of see myself as always developing and evolving also. Plus from what I've seen from his A/W12 collection it’s literally going to blow everyone away.

What era in fashion do you feel you can relate to most and why?

I don't feel I relate to just one particular era as all the era's from the 1920's flapper dresses to the 1980's shoulder pads make me love fashion even more.

Favourite city in the world?

Well I'm born and bred in London and I feel it's the city that keeps making my dreams happen so it is definitely my fave city in the world. But I do also love Tokyo for it’s buzz.

Most cherished item in your closet at the moment?

I would have to say my nan’s 1940's black diamond mink coat - I wear it every day and it keeps me so warm and I always feel safe wearing it as it’s a little piece of my nan.

Favourite trend for this season?

I'm loving a bit of sports luxe especially as the Olympics are coming up so it's very fitting.

One garment/ accessory every girl should own?

A good handbag. It doesn't have to be designer but just has to be well made and can slip into any occasion and look timeless through seasons. If you have one of those then a pair of Spanx!

When styling do you tend to favour vintage, high street or designer?

I tend to mix them all up as I own a vintage clothing company called Scarlet Rage and it's great to mix high street pieces with some vintage especially as they are both now so readily available to everyone.

If Jade Stavri could choose anyone to style and the location of the shoot, who and where would this be?

It would have to be a toss up between Beyonce or Nicki Minaj as there both fierce independent women and are totally up for doing different things with their styling and looks and I totally love that!! With the location I'd love it to be somewhere the artist’s and I had never been. Then it could be a new experience for all of us.

How would you describe your own personal style?

I'm a big believer that a stylist should never upstage their clients. My job is to make other people look good. Saying this I don't dress like a yob or anything but the pieces I wear are understated and simple.

Where do you tend to shop most?

I tend to shop in Vivienne Westwood (have an obsession with that woman it's rather unhealthy), Kooples, Levi's (I only wear Levi's curve ID jeans), New Look and I also dip into my collection of vintage clothing from Scarlet Rage.

Three things we would be surprised to find out about you?

1. I love Anchors

2. If I hadn't become a stylist I would have been a criminal profiler

3. I occasionally drive a van.

Finally what advice would you give to any lilylovelock readers interested in the world of fashion styling?

Always assist or intern for people that inspire you. Always make sure you put a 110% effort into everything you do. It'll pay off and people will start to recognise that. Never take no for an answer!

When I started up the Lilylovelock clothing and accessories label last summer. It wasn't only the designing and producing of the pieces that I found interesting I realised that the area of the creative process I enjoyed most was where I could style the clothing for the lookbooks. So much so that this year I'm devoting more time to styling and hopefully I'll have the opportunity to really build on my portfolio. For me it's not only about dressing a model but about appreciating the message you'd like to portray and creating a piece of art that is not only visually inspiring but will get some sort of reaction from it's viewer. So if we're talking about styling being a certain type of art then the stylist must be the artist right? Well one artist that continually inspires me to become a better stylist with each job I undertake is Anna Katsanis. If you're a regular reader of the blog you'll be familiar with this name as I'm sure I display her work at least twice a year (it's impossible not to) Anna was born in Greece but now resides in New York City, her inspiration is usually derived from an eclectic mix of European and American culture, architecture, religion, art film and theatre.

Maybe one day our paths will creatively cross, but for now you can check out her wonderful portfolio here

Admittedly Julia Hafstrom is one of my favourite red headed models, what's not to love right? Soft porcelain skin, freckles that are the epitome of cuteness and a hair colour that would give Jessica Rabbit a run for her money. So I was rather pleased when I noticed she was the featured model for Elle Taiwan's 2012 hairstyle inspiration. There seems to be a strong linger of the 60's era as inspiration for the shoot, with it's eye length block fringe and bouffant up-do that is very reminiscent of Miss Bardot's signature style with an obvious twist of rock for 2012.

Whilst researching the S/S 12 nail trends (always a great cheaper alternative to updating and restyling your spring wardrobe.) I came across a quirky trend that stood out amongst the ever popular spring neutrals, colours and patterns.

| The Look |

It's original name is 'Organitech' and was used to contribute to designer Wayne Cooper's S/S 12 Bird of Prey collection. However during fashion week it was known as the 'Black Swan Graffiti' manicure due to it's strong resemblance to the theatrical costumes used within the Oscar winning movie.

This trend of manicure was created using a stark white base polish with the addition of soft feathered strokes applied with black polish to the tip of the nail.

After your nails have been cut, shaped and buffed ( these steps are the most important part of a manicure so ensure they're always carried out prior.) Apply solid white polish to the full nail. You will most likely need to apply two coats to achieve an even finish. Remember to allow each coat to dry fully before applying your next.

| STEP TWO |

Once your base coat is completely dry you're ready to move on and create your soft feathered strokes. Take your black polish and before using on the nail remove as much of the polish as you can ( we only want a feathered appearance not stripy.) Now lightly stroke the brush along the tip of the nail in opposite directions.

| STEP THREE |

If you have any over spill on your finger remember at this stage you can use your corrector pen to tidy around the edges. Please allow the black polish to fully dry until you attempt this stage.

| STEP FOUR |

To complete this look apply a good quality top coat to your manicure. This will not only seal and protect the design but it will also give it a nice high shine finish.

However I felt it appropriate for a quick dash to IKEA on a bitter January day. Around two weeks ago Lilylovelock had a shoot especially for the Christmas and New Year party season. The genre of the shoot was very much inspired by D&G's Fall 2011 androgynous style. The overall outcome was exactly what had been intended; unique, fun and festive. The shot's were taken in a local nightclub and served the shoot well, not only was this particular shoot on a Sunday but it was also incredibly close to Christmas which is usually a pretty manic time for most people. So I'd really like to say a big THANK YOU to the entire team for being so enthusiastic and creative and allowing my styling ideas to come to life.

Julia Burness

A couple of months ago I was gifted this beautifully hand crafted Nini Love ring from London based jewellery maker/designer Julia Burness. Julia started her design career at Sir John Cass College in London where she studied silversmithing and jewellery design. From there she learnt her craft which now allows her to focus on specialising in making metallic lace jewellery. Not only are her pieces pretty they're also kind to the environment with Julia preferring to work with gold from artisanal and Fair Trade gold mines and recycled silver where ever possible. This particular ring looks fabulous on it's own or stacked as suggested by Julia herself. I must admit I wear it almost every single day and never tire from it's quirkiness and style it adds to any outfit. Briefly introduce yourself

My name's Deanne. I'm a presenter, DJ, promoter, living in the East End of London. I play under the name 'Blonde Ambition' gigging at parties and events worldwide. I host my own party 'Lovesick' local to me and at festivals.

How did you get to where you are today and would you do anything differently?

Very randomly. I trained as an actress and dancer at drama school. Did the travelling thing and then returned to perform on the London theatre scene. A chance meeting at a party led me to present my own radio show on Internet radio and Blonde Ambition was born. From there a guest invited me to DJ at their party; I had one too many tequila’s and played 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' twice. It was then I decided I loved it and wanted to learn the skill properly...never looked back!

I love doing what I'm doing, it allows me to do a multitude of different, exciting jobs and every day is fresh and fun.

Who would you say helped you along the way?

I'm very lucky to have friends who are excellent DJ's that were willing to teach me the skills I needed to up my game and learn to really mix.....very patient too. All my friends and family have supported me from the start that has helped amazingly.

What are the things you enjoy most about your career?

The variety, knowing that every day is different. The people I get to meet on my journey, the spontaneity, excitement of the jobs and most of all, it’s fun!

Your favourite new or established designer, artist, or photographer (pick one and explain why?)

I love all of the work by designer 'Velvet Johnstone', I wore an incredible blue woven cape in a recent photo shoot, that was held together by cassette tape and had amazing feathered shoulders, I totally fell in love with it and her new collection is really very lovely.

What era do you feel you relate to most and why?

For fashion I love the 60's, just amazing. I'm a massive fan of oversize hats, sunglasses and little fitted dresses. I love to dress up.

Music wise, I play so much disco from the 80's...nothing quite beats it.

Favourite city in the world?

London! I've travelled to many other cities and as much as I love to be in new exciting places, I'm always overjoyed to be back here. Although very closely followed by New York. I love the history of this city, the quirks, the people, the buildings and it's thrilling pace. It's my home.

Most cherished item in your closet at the moment?

A very new edition, my Versace outfit for the launch today. It arrived a couple of days ago...felt like Christmas had come early! I picked the black studded skirt & top with thick Versace print and leather jacket to match. I loved wearing it, I felt so glam, never been quite so blinged up at 11am before!

Favourite trend from this season?

I love glamming up for gigs and parties, especially as we get into these festive months, so it makes me very happy when every other item is embellished with sequins and all things sparkly! But then I do also love a big thick chunky knitted jumper or cardi to throw on and relax.

One garment/ accessory every girl should own?

A pair of black skinny jeans, I just bought 3 new pairs. They're such a staple, to dress up for parties or just to go for a walk in the park. I love the shimmery Leigh jeans from Topshop.

How would you describe your own personal style?

Varied! My looks are never the same. I'm experimental.

Where do you tend to shop most often?

Most probably Topshop. I don't get a lot of time to trail the shops, but I DJ regularly in the Oxford Street store- it's dangerous in there, I'm always playing away whilst picking out the items I want, so when finished I go get them. Dangerous territory though! I also get so many things from my local charities back at home; all the old ladies love to throw out their furs and big hats!

What couldn't you live without?

My Levi's leather jacket. It's great for every occasion & the more I wear it, the better it gets.

What would we be surprised to find out about you?

I always wanted to be a F1 Grand Prix driver and I'm a country girl from Shropshire who likes nothing more than putting on my wellies & hiking in the hills! People think I'm this wild city party girl-it's nice to have the best of both!

What’s next for yourself and Blonde Ambition?

Well tonight I'm supporting Joe Goddard at the Southern Comfort Juke Joint party in Islington and then I'm off to Berlin tomorrow with friends to see the sights and sample the awesome club life. When back I've got an exciting lead up to Christmas: playing events for Warehouse, Topshop and H&M, as well as a set at Somerset House for Tayo's Tracksuit Party on ice. All the time work is underway on my own party 'Lovesick', aiming to host 1 last big festive event to end a very fun year! Also recording a couple more 'Blonde Ambition Shows' for London Fields Radio and of course eating mince pies!

Back in June I had the opportunity and pleasure of collaborating with Cypriot clothing label Steffi Crown. The shoot location was Epping Forest just outside of London with a team boasting of creative excellence. Photographer for the day was London based Rob Jarvis , models were Trissan Holder and MaryAnn Sembreak with Bradley Stratton on hair and Tilah Khayer on Make-up. One great reason why I jumped to work on this project (aside from the ridiculously talented team) was that I would be having my head pieces personally hand dyed by the ever talented Angela Hooker textile designer for FELDER FELDER . I'm so pleased my designs were part of such a great project full of wonderful creative's.

Aside from blogging and trying to build the Lilylovelock brand I've also been doing some part-time modelling, yes I know rather bizarre but you meet the most loveliest of people whilst shooting and taking part in shows.

After finally designing the Lilylovelock Unisex tshirt line, tee's were printed and a lookbook was created on a cold September evening. I decided to opt for a night shoot as this seemed to be quite an orignal look. Each and every shot from this lookbook I adore( full lookbook will be available for viewing soon) the genius behind the lens is part time photographer Murdo McDermid. So far Murdo has shot all of my lookbooks and I genuinely love having the opportunity to shoot with him. As you may or may not know working in this industry it's very rare to find individuals that don't "talk the talk" what you see is what you get and this is just the style of working environment I like. All clothing and T-shirts can be purchased on Asos Marketplace.

Lilylovelock was also asked to be part of a fashion show in Glasgow last Wednesday organised by Claire Stuart and Ally Turnbull from local events company In the Company of Wolves (ITCOW) The theme of the night was 70s B Horror movies and featured fifteen great designers along with sixteen gorgeous models. The show featured my up and coming A/W collection and I was very pleased with not only how the clothing looked on stage but also the response I got from the public regarding my clothing. The last shot was taken on our way home, my sister and I attempting our best model pose. haha!

This was particularly easy for me as I've recently fell in love with the work of all round fabulous photographer Levi Macdonald . Regret nothing believe in something

This past week has been full of craziness- I finally had the photoshoot for my lookbook on Thursday and although it decided to rain (the only day out of the full week that wasn't sunshine!) I had the most fun, yes it was stressful, yes we got slightly cold and wet but I am so beyond excited to see the final images and completed lookbook!Aside from this I'm also able to get my hands on an edited video of the University fashion show that featured some lilylovelock accessories a couple of months ago, it has a killer soundtrack so I must share it on the blog and facebook page in the next day or so. Another weird but equally exciting piece of news came about last Monday when I got invited to a model casting for a Glasgow based designer David Black (let's just clear any confusion, I am in no which way a model, nor have I ever contemplating being one) so out of curiosty and sheer love for David's designs (they're beyond gorgeous) I went along, had a chat with around a panel of six people (intense) and had poloroids taken, walked the catwalk blah, blah, blah. Turns out he seemed to like me and I 've been chosen to walk in his upcoming show this August. I have a fitting this Monday and I'm so looking forward to trying on some of his fabulous creations!

Since planning my own lookbook for lilylovelock I've became obsessed with with various designer clothing campaigns. I love how each and every designer/clothing label have their own unique way of portraying their "look". For me this Dolce & Gabbana campaign for the fall 11 clothing is exactly what I like about the creative aspect of a lookbook or ad campaign. It can be as conformative or rebellious as you like, the gender division within this shoot (although yes previously created) is simply genius!

I realise I've been a little absent from the blog as of late but for all my regular readers you'll know alot is happening over at Lilylovelock HQ involving a new clothing collection and lookbook. All very exciting but also equally time consuming. Since I've been otherwise preoccupied, today was my first proper day of scouring my favourite blogs and fashion websites.This led me to stumble across the Haute Couture A/W 11 collection of Stephane Rolland and it was love at first sight. It's probably pretty accurate to mention that I would like to own the complete collection. Each piece is beautifully crafted with unusual shapes, details and in the most luxurious of fabrics. New designer crush!

I love Chloe Sevigny simply for quotes such as this: "I'd like to be more approachable, not less weird" Yes we have Alexa, the Olsen's and a fair few new up and coming fashion hipsters but for me Miss Sevigny is a different breed entirely!
